A Lake Forest company had designed and manufactured precision surgical equipment utilizing the services of a well known product design house. As they came to COG Engineering they knew that they needed bring manufacturing in house to ensure quality, establish parallel production, and improve delivery times. COG Engineering worked closely with engineering to determine what areas needed to be addressed and established priority based on their greatest risks. Starting with existing documents, COG developed a clear set of manufacturing documents allowing us to transfer manufacturing in house as well as quote with several contract manufacturers. Ultimately, we improved the manufacturing process and were able to smoothly transition much of the assembly to qualified CMs and bring critical operations in house for greater control.
