Potting Materials Overview

Our manufacturers formulate performance potting compounds and encapsulants that are poured, dispensed or injected into devices or molds to protect electronic, photonic, electrical and mechanical components. Potting Compounds insulate, protect, and secure components in place while providing high dimensional stability and optimum dielectric properties.

Potting Compounds are single, two-component or UV systems that harden at room temperature or use heat to accelerate or complete the curing process.

Standard Products

Our extensive line of Potting Compounds are formulated for a wide variety of properties from high thermal conductivity, optical clarity or opacity, low coefficient of expansion (CTE), High HDT, Low Tg, High dielectric strength and Low moisture absorption just to name a few.  Many of our Potting Compounds are UL 1446 recognized for use up to 180C (Class H) or are UL 94 V0 and now UL 94 5VA listed for Flame Retardency.
